Modular Stainless Steel Wire Mesh Filters for Food and Pharma
Product Introduction
These Modular Stainless Steel Wire Mesh Filters are built for high-throughput food, beverage and pharmaceutical lines that require hygienic, reusable filtration with predictable performance. The modular approach (flat panels, pleated cartridges or stackable discs) lets you mix coarse pre-screens with fine Dutch-weave polishing layers in one assembly — reducing pressure drop while achieving required retention classes.
Why stainless wire mesh
Stainless media resists thermal and chemical stress from CIP/SIP routines and cleaning chemistries; electropolished finishes reduce biofilm risk and simplify validation. For fine liquid polishing and oil/water separations, Dutch-weave constructions (fine weft, coarser warp) offer tight cut sizes with reasonable permeability — the preferred choice where micron-level control is needed without sintered complexity.
Product Specification Sheet
| Parameter | Typical Range / Note |
|---|---|
| Mesh / Filtration | 4 — 635 mesh; nominal openings ~5000 µm → <1 µm (sintered). |
| Material | SS304 / 316 / 316L / 310 / Duplex / Inconel (specify). |
| Form Factor | Cartridge (pleated/rigid), Basket, Disc, Panel, Sintered Cartridge. |
| Max Temp | Up to ~600°C (woven/sintered SS) — higher for special alloys. |
| Pressure | Vacuum → design up to ~100 bar (structure-dependent). |
| Cleaning | Backwash, CIP, Ultrasonic, High-pressure pulse. |
| Typical Lead Time | Samples 5–12 days; custom cartridges 2–6 weeks (qty & testing dependent). |
Configurations & performance
Standard building blocks include: single- or multi-layer woven cloth, pleated cartridges to multiply media area in compact housings, and welded/framed panels for large inline strainers. Pleated stainless cartridges give long service life and easy onsite cleaning (backflush/solvent/ultrasonic), making them economical for reusable OEM and rental supply models. Typical initial ΔP and beta-ratio data are supplied per configuration to aid system selection.
Applications
Common applications: juice & beverage clarification, pharma API protection, CIP return screens, hydraulic oil pre-filtration, gas/liquid coalescing pre-filters and membrane pre-treatment.Provide ready OEM options, sample runs and small MOQs — useful for qualification runs before scaling.
Quality, testing & service
We supply material certificates (MTR), dimensional inspection reports, and optional particle retention testing (retention curves / βx). For sanitary lines we recommend electropolishing, traceable batch labels and validated CIP recipes; for high-temp/pressure industrial lines choose appropriate alloy (e.g., 316L or 904L) and welded end-fittings.
