Field-Serviced Coalescing Stainless Steel Cartridges for VOC Recovery
Product overview
These Field-Serviced Coalescing Stainless Steel Cartridges are built for portable and skid-mounted vapor recovery systems, mobile compressor stations, and on-site remediation units where downtime and logistics matter. Unlike disposable polymer elements, stainless wire mesh coalescers tolerate repeated regeneration (backflush, solvent, steam) and are optimized for fast field replacement — reducing operational cost for rental fleets and service contractors.
Design highlights
Elements use multi-layer stacks (coarse → transition → polishing) of woven cloth, optionally sintered for dimensional stability. Cartridges are supplied with captive end caps and quick-release collars so technicians swap elements without hot-work or tools. Electropolished surfaces decrease fouling; optional hydrophobic treatments improve hydrocarbon coalescence and speed drain-off for oil-laden streams. Housing interfaces follow common sanitary or industrial flange patterns to simplify retrofit into existing skids.
Product Specification Sheet
| Parameter | Typical Range / Note |
|---|---|
| Mesh / Filtration | 4 — 635 mesh; nominal openings ~5000 µm → <1 µm (sintered). |
| Material | SS304 / 316 / 316L / 310 / Duplex / Inconel (specify). |
| Form Factor | Cartridge (pleated/rigid), Basket, Disc, Panel, Sintered Cartridge. |
| Max Temp | Up to ~600°C (woven/sintered SS) — higher for special alloys. |
| Pressure | Vacuum → design up to ~100 bar (structure-dependent). |
| Cleaning | Backwash, CIP, Ultrasonic, High-pressure pulse. |
| Typical Lead Time | Samples 5–12 days; custom cartridges 2–6 weeks (qty & testing dependent). |
Operational advantages
Low initial pressure drop per m² and staged layer design yield long run times before regeneration. On a mobile skid, that translates to fewer service stops and lower transfer costs. When rinsing or solvent cleaning is required, cartridges withstand thermal and chemical cycles that would destroy polymer media. For emergency spill response or temporary wells, the ability to clean and redeploy elements is a decisive lifecycle advantage.
Applications & selection
Typical deployments: VOC recovery trailers, temporary vapor abatement, compressor inlet protection on site, condensate knock-out before membrane skid, and mobile solvent recovery. Specify gas composition, flow rate (Nm³/h), operating temp/pressure, and target droplet size — we propose layer count, weave type and optional coatings accordingly, and provide expected ΔP vs. flow curves.
Maintenance & logistics
We supply cartridge change SOPs, purge/backflush recipes and recommended regeneration solvents/temperatures. For rental fleets we offer serialized labeling and repair/refurb service: return worn cartridges for ultrasonic/chemical reconditioning and redeploy, lowering TCO and reducing on-site spare inventory.
