Mist Eliminator Description
Mist Eliminator (also known as wire mesh demister, wire mesh foam trap) is used to remove the fog entrained in the gas (fog
droplets), recover expensive fog droplets (precious materials), or purify the gas to reduce impurities in the gas. The wire mesh
mist eliminator is made of corrosion resistant metal wire of 0.15 m~0.25 m m, or wire mesh woven by special warp and weft with engineering plastic wires such as P and P T F E, and then pressed into wave type (W type) and overlapped. The wire mesh demister has the characteristics of small pressure drop, large specific surface area and high demister efficiency. For fog droplets above 3 microns, the efficiency of fog removal can reach more than 98%.

The demisting process of Mist Eliminator
The operating principle behind the mist eliminator is simple. As the wet vapour stream rises through layers of contracting surfaces within the knitted and crimped wire matrix, entrained as they continuously impact each surface. The gas within the vapour stream continues to rise as the heavier liquids separate, attach and coalese into droplets within a mesh. as the droplets grow, so does their weight until they fall to the bottom of the vessel due to gravity. Liquid accumulations can then be drained out of the bottom as, the gas is routed through the top of the Vessel.
