Metal structured packing is a form of packaging material that is composed of thin, corrugated metal plates or wire gauzes. These components are uniformly arranged and neatly piled in a tower structure.
Metal structured packing is widely used for applications such as absorption and distillation columns as well as chemical reactors due to its large surface area and low pressure drop, high heat and mass transfer efficiency and other beneficial factors.
Metal tower packing is assembled by passing small profiles and bellows through a metallic sheet surface.
