Panel Structure and Detail

The V-fold is formed after welding, with each fold running vertically across the panel. The fold depth and wire spacing are matched so the panel cannot be pressed flat by hand or levered open at the edge. The 5.0mm wire is welded at every intersection, and the frame edges are folded back to remove sharp ends. Posts use an 80 x 80mm square section with a welded cap, giving the panel a solid anchor at each end and reducing flex along the run.

Post System and Installation

Posts are set in concrete at 2.5m centres, with the panel fixed by security clamps and tamper-resistant bolts. The square post face makes alignment simple along long perimeter roads and taxiways. We recommend setting the bottom of the panel close to the ground or adding a concrete plinth where digging under the fence is a concern. Installation drawings include post spacing, gate positions and recommended footing sizes. For airport and port projects, we can supply panels with matching cranked tops and additional security arms.

This panel is used around airports, ports, container terminals, power stations, water treatment works and other sites with controlled access. The tight mesh and V-fold profile make the boundary harder to climb, while the open design still allows CCTV coverage and patrol visibility. Where projects require a higher security rating, the same panel can be combined with electric fencing brackets, barbed wire arms or a second inner fence line.

Packing and Delivery

Panels are stacked with protective film and steel corner protection, then strapped to heavy-duty pallets. Posts and security clamps are packed separately and labelled by run. Because black coated panels show handling marks, we use extra interleaving during packing. Lead time is normally 12 to 20 days after deposit, depending on accessory requirements.
